Russian officials continue to claim that NATO ‘outlived its purpose after the Cold War.’ However, at the end of the Cold War, NATO showed its adaptability, working to build a Europe whole, free and at peace – with Russia. Today, NATO Allies face new security challenges to the east and to the south. The challenges we face are such that no nation can tackle them alone, and, for many partners, that’s a reason to seek NATO membership. Find out more in this video, featuring Ambassador Alexander Vershbow, NATO’s former Deputy Secretary General and expert on NATO-Russia relations. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Find the Russian versions of these videos here: https://goo.gl/NKjWGM ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ SUBSCRIBE to NATO YouTube http://bit.ly/NATOsubscribe Connect with NATO online: Visit the Official NATO Homepage: http://bit.ly/NATOhomepage Find NATO on FACEBOOK: http://bit.ly/NATOfacebook Follow @NATO on TWITTER: http://bit.ly/NATOtwitter Find NATO on Google+: http://bit.ly/NATOgoogleplus Find NATO on LinkedIn: http://bit.ly/NATOlinkedin Find NATO on Flickr: http://bit.ly/NATOflickr
