The conference kicked off on Tuesday morning with an Open Conference, where the Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow and Deputy Chairman of the Military Committee Lt Gen Mark O. Schissler welcomed the audience. The NCGP celebrated its 40th anniversary and the conference brought together over 110 participants from 35 countries. The NCGP was pleased to welcome national delegates from Ukraine and Colombia for the first time. The outcome of the conference were recommendations to the Military Committee on how the NATO and Partner community can strengthen military leadership and accountability to implement a gender perspective.
